Sutter Lakeside Community Services (SLCS), recognized in Lake County for providing outstanding professional assistance to families, was founded as a non-profit in l995. SLCS provides comprehensive, integrated human services supported by grants and donations. Our philosophy is to build on family strengths through service to children and families to achieve a sustainable, healthy community.

Services & Programs
|
SLCS offers a wide range of services, knowledge and experience to achieve our goals. Services include child abuse and neglect prevention, intervention, and treatment; domestic violence intervention, shelter, counseling; sexual assault response and counseling; a 24/7 community crisis line; child development and family support services; home visitation; anger management classes; parenting workshops, classes and groups (including batterer's treatment); adolescent pregnancy prevention; youth development; mental health counseling; low-income health care insurance outreach through application assistance; child development center; teen parenting programs; and volunteer opportunties.

Background

SLCS was formed in 1995 (as Lake Health Alliance) and became a formal affiliate of Sutter Health and Sutter Lakeside Hospital in 1997. SLCS added a multitude of programs to benefit the community serving over 1400 families annually with a budget of $4 million dollars. SLCS provides direct services to families struggling with many challenges. The agency is an active particiant in local efforts to network and integrate services for families with a strong commitment to collaboration. We provide services through a blend of federal, state, local and private funds. SLCS is proud of its excellent service, dedicated staff, and support from and partnerships with the Lake County community.
