Catholic Charities

Lake County Programs, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, is focusing its attention on helping those less fortunate with three diverse programs; one is related to food the other to employment and the final one to community and parish needs. We provide food boxes every 3rd Wednesday of the month at St. Joseph’s garage on Bush Street near Hwy 175 in Middletown to anyone in Lake County who is hungry. Emergency food is also given on an as needed basis. We coordinate the Commodities Supplemental Food Program which the Lake County Community Action Agency runs the 3rd Tuesday of every month from our same site. Coach 2 Career is a state funded job development program which helps individuals develop life and job skills to enable them to become economically self-sufficient. With the help of mentors and computer based training and education, it offers long term guidance and encouragement to assist individuals attain a living wage and employment with benefits. CARES is a program which provides emergency services not available from other community resources. It supports and advocates for the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of older and disabled clients.

Transportation Services Provided

Catholic Charities is a member of the Lake County Transportation Coalition but doe not currently provide direct transportation services.
