Drug Abuse Alternative Center

|
Lake County Perinatal Day Treatment Program targets pregnant and/or parenting women with chemical dependency problems who need intensive and comprehensive outpatient services. These services include drug abuse counseling, relapse prevention, nutritional education, life skills and parenting classes, among others, to sustain their recovery as well as nurture their children. With consistent attendance, the program usually lasts 9-10 months. Transportation is provided for women and their children daily and on-site child care is available. We also operate a transitional Living Center, a clean sober living environment for women and their children, designed to provide parenting guidance and family management skills, housing up to seven women and their children under the age of 10. Women who enter Perinatal Day Treatment are provided skills and support to attain abstinence and to work toward rebuilding their lives.
